PASOs

May 28, 2021 – PASOs is a special public-private partnership created in South Carolina to enhance parenting skills, family health, and early childhood education among Hispanic residents. The program employs community health workers who develop relationships with Latino parents, make regular home visits, and provide education and advocacy.

The Jubilee Community Partnership is pleased to support these community health workers in Jasper and Beaufort counties. Jubilee offered grants to the two local agencies that host bilingual, home-visiting aides: Beaufort First Steps, and BJH Comprehensive Health.

This philanthropic assistance will support program oversight and management, and keep the community health workers in their positions—making it possible for them to assist hundreds of children and parents in need.
