Hispanic Family Services at First Steps

January 3, 2022 – The Jubilee Community Partnership recently offered renewed support to Beaufort County First Steps for their 2022 programming. This nonprofit provides a range of child-care, health, educational, and family services.

Jubilee is particularly pleased to help fund the PASOs program that is overseen by First Steps. An acclaimed statewide initiative with many local branches, PASOs sends community health workers out to local homes to provide Spanish-speaking families with information and service referrals on health, education, parenting, and other needs.

The Beaufort County First Steps office hosts two bilingual aides who keep busy assisting the large local Hispanic population. Earlier in the year Jubilee made a grant to bridge the expiration of other funding for these community health workers. Now we are pleased to be 2022 supporters of this helpful home visiting.
